Great Excursion!

The excursion was amazing. In July, Captain J took us on “speed boat” ( Not sure what the proper boat term is) to Rose Island. We had to go to the Port which is walking distance from Altantis, Margaritaville, and Comfort Suits. We stopped for 15 mins total to see Gilligan’s Island and to snorkel with the turtles. Once we got to beach it was BEAUTIFUL. We took the 9am tour so it was quiet and no one there yet. We had the beach to ourselves. The pigs are wonderful and love to eat. They gave us food to help snap photos and interact with them. After, we gave them some a bottles as well to get a better close up photos with them. Once that was done we hung out at a shack where is beer ( extra charge ) water, soda, snacks and burgers ( included in your trip). There are beach chairs available and soft music near the shack incase your tired of being in the water. I would recommend this to anyone who goes as a group with friends or couples or family with older children. Not all the pigs are train and they tend to do little jumps towards you for food. Also they have in-scissor teeth so I wouldn’t bring a smaller child along ( in my opinion) Would definitely do it again with this same group lead and company.
Beautiful

The views and quietness and the crew Captain Jack is amazing. With the rain the experience made it even better

Capt. Jay was an amazing tour guide. Gave history info about the island. We were traveling with our little ones and he made sure they were safe throughout which I much appreciated. The currents were kinda strong so we didn’t “swim” with the pigs but we did interact with them. They would walk into the water and run out, was a really beautiful experience. Rose island is just gorgeous. A+ service
Fun trip

Awesome captain. Had a great time and learned a lot. Saw a few turtles in the cay and then swam with the pigs at rose island.
It was ok, but could improve pig interaction

Pro's: Scenery, water and beach at Rose Island was beautiful, clear water, white sand, looks like paradise. Food (cheese or hamburger) was pretty good.

Con's: Snorkeling only lasts about 15-20 min. you don't see much because you have to wear a life west, which keeps you afloat, can't dive, hard time swimming. Saw no fish, one sea turtle.
Pig encounter was more like a "hurry take your photo" with LOTS of people in the background, you don't spend any time with the pigs other than a quick photo. I have booked other, better organized "swimming with pigs" for cheaper, where you were able to hold and feed pigs individually and spend more time with them, play with them. Pigs were then put in a crate, where you learned fun facts about them, which was nice, but would have rather spent more time with them outside the crate. You were then able to bottle feed some of them, with too many people around trying to shove a bottle in, and parents shouting at their kids to take decent photos. Not really what I expected for a $300 excursion.

The tour guides were friendly, but I think there should be a better-organized way of interacting with the pigs and getting better photo opportunities.
